THE AGTRON SCALE IS MEASURED WITH SPECIALIZED METERS THAT GUAGE THE COLOR OF ROASTED BEANS ON A NUMERICAL SCALE. THAT READING DETERMINES THE ROAST LEVEL. THERE IS A COMMON USE AND SCA VERSION TO DESCRIBE THE ROAST LEVEL VERBALLY.
